Landish marine collagen products are sold very, very fresh. In fact we produce every month, and when you order directly from us online, you're getting the most recent batch. The collagen is bottled before it has much of a chance to "breathe" and is sealed air-tight. If you'd like to eliminate this smell you can simply leave the product open for a few hours after opening it. Because our collagen is pure protein, exposure to air will not oxidize the product (as would be the case for fat).
