Can any Landish products help to increase metabolism and help with weight loss?

Weight loss is a complex topic, as there are many factors that contribute to a healthy metabolism and body composition. However, some functional foods have been shown to support a healthy metabolism and weight loss. Landish Turmeric Ginger Latte Mix contains gingerol (the bioactive compound found in ginger), which may help to reduce BMI (body mass index) and improve the body's waist-hip ratio (1)(2). In one study, 80 obese women experienced a significant decrease in BMI after consuming ginger for 12 weeks (1). Cocoa (found in our 5 Mushroom Hot Chocolate Mix) may also aid in weight loss because of its high concentration of polyphenols, naturally occurring antioxidants. Polyphenols may contribute to weight loss by helping to regulate the metabolism of fat and carbohydrates and by increasing satiety (3)(4). Cordyceps militaris (one of the 5 functional mushroom extracts found in our hot chocolate mix) has also been associated with weight loss. In one animal study, the consumption of Cordyceps militaris was shown to reduce weight gain (5).

Our smarter proteins and Pure Canadian Marine Collagen may also help to support a healthy metabolism and weight loss, as they are good source of many key amino acids (protein). Research suggests that consuming a diet rich in protein increases satiety hormones while suppressing ghrelin, the “hunger” hormone (6). This could contribute to weight loss by promoting fullness and reducing cravings. Protein is also required to build, repair, and maintain lean muscle mass, which helps to support a healthy metabolism, as muscle burns more calories at rest, increasing calorie expenditure (7).
