A healthy gut made up of strong, diverse microbiota has been associated with many health benefits, including a stronger immune system, more energy, better mood, and better overall health (1). Our four products most known for supporting gut health include:
- Spirulina contains prebiotic polysaccharides that have been found to improve probiotic growth (2).
- Leafy greens can significantly help to support gut health thanks to the sugar molecule sulfoquinovose (SQ for short), which has been shown to promote the growth of good bacteria in the gut (3).
- Cricket powder and mealworm powder are full of chitin (pronounced k-eye-tin), a powerful prebiotic fibre, which has been shown to promote strong probiotic growth (5)(6).
- Studies have found chitin responsible for reducing systemic inflammation in people with irritable bowel disease (7).
