What are "upcycled" fruits and vegetables?

Our upcycled ingredients are rescued fruits and vegetables that would have otherwise been sent to the landfill, but instead have been transformed into high-quality, nutrient-dense powders.

Untimely, bruised, or otherwise "imperfect" fruits and vegetables account for about 45% of food waste produced in Canada, and it’s happening before it even gets to your shopping basket. Upcycling disrupts this wasteful system by constantly identifying and rescuing “misfit” fruits and veggies and transforming them into high-quality, nutrient-dense powders before they can go to waste. It keeps food out of the landfill, bringing it back to the kitchen—where it belongs!

To maintain the original nutritional value, our upcycled ingredients are transformed into a powder using a patent-pending process that prevents oxidation during dehydration, thus preserving antioxidants.

Landish products that contain upcycled ingredients include our juice mixes and Maca Mate Beet Latte Mix.
