Is cricket powder considered vegan or vegetarian?

No, crickets would not technically fit within a vegan or vegetarian diet. However, some people practice variations of vegetarianism, such as lacto-ovo-vegetarians (who eat eggs and dairy products) and pescatarians (who eat fish). These less stringent vegetarians (or restrictive omnivores) might likewise embrace insects as a source of food.

Many of our customers who consume our cricket powder are otherwise vegetarian, and they make this exception because they find that it “checks all their boxes” in terms of nutrition/health, sustainability and ethical sourcing.
